Ancient Aromatherapy Blends
Aromatherapy, by our definition, is the use of pure, botanically defined, whole and complete essential oils: as close to that which nature created (nothing added, and nothing taken away). Aromatherapy benefits health, beauty and wellbeing. Like herbalism, aromatherapy uses the therapeutic potential of the plant kingdom but instead of using the whole plant, it isolates only the aromatic volatile essence held in tiny glands or cells found in the flowers, stem, leaves, root, fruit, bark and wood of specific plants. It is extracted by distillation to produce the essential oil. While the Western methodology concerning the use of herbs, aromatics and essential oils is to classify them according to their biochemical composition and therapeutic actions; the Eastern approach maintains a practical symptomatic system yet overlays a deep understanding of the interplay between the energetics of disease and the rebalancing effects of essential oils.

Cupping
Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that it is the stagnation of qi and blood that causes pain and disease. Cupping invigorates local circulation of qi and blood in the area being treated, resolving swelling, pain, and tension. By drawing impurities to the surface, it removes toxins.
From a Western physiology perspective, cupping loosens connective tissue or fascia and increases blood flow to the surface. Cupping also stimulates tissue relaxation and better cell-to-cell communication. Inflammatory cytokines (chemical messengers) are reduced, and cytokines that promote healing and relaxation are increased. The marks left by cupping are a sign of the therapeutic benefit that the cupping is having on the body. They go by many names in different cultures such as “marks” in Chinese culture or “rings” in Greece, in the United States they are sometimes referred to as “cupping kisses” but they more commonly are referred to as simply cupping marks.
While bruises are typically the result of blunt trauma to an area of the body resulting in damage to blood vessels underneath the skin cupping marks, on the other hand, are the result of a healing stimulus to the body and are completely different in several ways. Bruises have NONE of the healing benefits that cupping offers.
Cupping does NOT leave bruises!

Gua Sha
Gua sha is a therapeutic traditional East Asian healing technique. The technique is split into two parts: ‘Gua’ for scraping, ‘sha’ for redness. Other name for Gua sha include coining, scraping or spooning. Dating back to ancient China, gua sha was first referred to in a classical Chinese medicine text called Shang Han Lun dating back to 220 CCE. According to traditional Chinese medicine, qi is energy that flows through the body. The Ancient Chinese believed that a person’s qi must be flowing and balanced. In order to be in good overall health and wellbeing. Practitioners of gua sha back in the day believed that inactive qi was the root of inflammation and lead to chronic pain. Hence, rubbing or scraping the skin’s surface to obtain ‘sha’ was thought to help qi flow again. This helps to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
Hot Stones Therapy
This 2000-year-old technique is believed to originate from China.
Since then, the technique has spread to various cultures around the world.
The heated stones are extremely effective in reducing muscle pain, tension relief, while enhancing blood circulation. It also minimizes spasms, improves range of motion and has been proven to effectively deal with stress. A host of studies shows that this massage variant enhances cardiovascular health and reduces anxiety, as well as, stress.
Tension in the muscles can make the movement of the joints challenging and painful. The hot stone massage helps relax your muscles thereby making joint movement comfortable and easy. If suffering from certain joint disorders, you will find the hot stone massage quite beneficial.
